Water-Based Lacquer is developed specially for Muuto directly with one of the leading paint companies in the world. The goal was to develop a one-component, ecofriendly water-based lacquer which contains less volatile organic compounds (VOC) than standard lacquers for better indoor climates, while also creating better working conditions in the production phase.

Muuto Water-Based Lacquer has undergone scratch resistance tests, color fastness to water and fat tests, color fastness to perspiration and lightfastness tests, and therefore provides the same strength as the old lacquer.
