EN 16139-L2 FURNITURE – STRENGTH, DURABILITY & SAFETY

The EN strength and stability tests are European voluntary norms that have been ratified by the European Standardization Organization. EN test distinguishes between domestic and non-domestic use. Most Muuto furniture conform to the highest level of nondomestic EN norms. Muuto tests furniture to the EN testing of minimum L2 levels.

EN 16139-L2 Furniture – Strength, durability & safety – Requirements for non-domestic seating. Specifies requirements for safety, strength and durability of all types of non-domestic seating intended to be used by adults with weight of not more than 110 kg, including office visitor chairs.
