Product Material
The tabletop is available in lacquered MDF with a black nanolaminate top, lacquered MDF with a linoleum top, marble, or FSC™-certified (FSC-C028824) solid oak, treated with either a clear or dark oil. Table with stone tabletop: Please note that due to the natural variations in marble, each piece may differ slightly in pattern, color, and texture, making each one unique.
Powder-Coated Steel: Steel is an alloy of iron with carbon. Powder-coated steel has a subtle, textured expression and elegant feel while adding durability to the design and making it more corrosion-resistant. Powder-coated steel is also highly chip-resistant.
Oiled Oak: Oak is a traditionally Scandinavian material with durable abilities against factors such as water and fungi alongside a high level of strength, giving it long-lasting properties fit for furniture.
Stone: Marble is a metamorphic rock composed primarily of re-crystallized carbonate minerals, known for its natural veining and refined surface. With a timeless elegance, marble offers a unique and organic expression, making each piece one of a kind. Its smooth, cool touch enhances the tactile experience, while its durable nature ensures lasting beauty. Proper care helps preserve the marble’s integrity, maintaining its sophisticated appeal over time.

Care description
Clean often and carefully with a soft and dry cloth following the grain pattern. Periodically, clean with moist cloth. For long term care, it is recommended that the tabletop is treated 2-3 times a year with special oak wood oil on both top and bottom of tabletop that assists with making the wood resistant to stains and fluids. The wood should not be exposed to excessive humidity, heat or direct sun light.
Laminate and linoleum: Clean the tabletop with a damp cloth. If necessary, only use a mild detergent or washing-up liquid; never concentrate. Always wipe with a dry cloth afterward. To minimize the risk of stains and marks, liquid, grease, etc., should be removed immediately.
For linoleum versions, linoleum care is recommended 2-3 times a year for optimum saturation of the natural material. Clean the base with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching the high-gloss lacquer. Use a small amount of mild dish soap on the cloth if necessary.
Solid Oak and Dark Oiled Oak: Upon receiving your table, we recommend that the top and bottom be treated with a special oak wood oil, improving its resistance to stains and fluids. We also recommend you continue caring for the product by repeating this treatment 2-3 times yearly. For products in Solid Oak, we recommend using a tabletop oil with a small amount of white pigment, suitable for food applications*. We recommend using a smoked tabletop oil suitable for dark-oiled oak products for food applications*.
Avoid placing the table in the immediate distance of a heat source. Do not place hot or wet objects directly on the table; they can leave a mark on the top. Metal objects can leave a mark if left on the table for extended periods. Spills should be removed immediately to avoid discoloring. Clean the tabletop often and carefully with a soft and dry cloth, following the wood grain pattern. The product should not be exposed to excessive humidity, heat, or direct sunlight.
*Muuto recommends contacting your local hardware store for advice on oils for indoor use.
Stone: Clean the table with a damp cloth. If necessary, only use a mild detergent or washing-up liquid that is not concentrated to wipe the table. Always wipe with a dry cloth immediately after. Liquid, grease, etc., should be removed immediately to minimize the risk of stains and marks. The table is treated with a stone sealer that is water—and oil-repellent only. Customers can apply a stronger stone sealer to all tabletop surfaces if desired. Consult your local hardware store for advice.
Clean the base with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching the high-gloss paint. Use a small amount of mild dish soap on the cloth if necessary.
