For general maintenance and cleaning, use only a dry, soft fabric like a microfiber cloth to remove water drops or fingerprints. For more stubborn stains, such as food spills or grease, use a chloride-free glass cleaner, as chlorides can damage stainless steel. Spray the chloride-free glass cleaner onto a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Gently rub the dampened cloth over the stainless steel surface, switching to a clean area of the cloth as needed and applying cleaner if necessary.
Avoid using steel wool or scrub brushes, as they can scratch the stainless steel and dull the finish. These tools can also leave small particles that may rust over time.
If you use liquid glass cleaner, be sure to wipe away any marks left after it dries with a dry, soft microfiber cloth. If sand or dust is blown onto it and not removed before cleaning, it may scratch the bench.
