EN and BIFMA standards are quality guarantees for furniture. EN standards are European, while BIFMA standards are North American, especially developed for professional and institutional furniture. Think of them as quality certificates for your peace of mind— rigorous, third-party verified benchmarks that ensure your furniture is safe, reliable, and built to last.

99.7% of our furniture meets the European EN standards, while 92% also meets the stringent BIFMA standards—one of the toughest safety and durability benchmarks in the industry.

The testing regiment

Instead of waiting years to see how your furniture will hold up, we simulate a long life span of use through for example repeated testing under force and static pressure. The boot camp process fast-tracks real-world scenarios on representative samples, so by the time your furniture arrives, it's already proven its mettle.

That includes +100.000 of seat-and-back repetitions to mimic daily sitting—the wear of people getting up and down dozens of times a day. Impact tests simulate heavy objects hitting surfaces, or someone collapsing into a chair at full weight. Static load tests place sustained pressure on key parts—like a table bearing stacked appliances, or a sofa supporting a whole family.

These tough, physical tests reflect the full range of what furniture really goes through, ensuring each design is solid, reliable, and ready for everyday life.
