    still café table

    clear
    functionality

With its four-legged base and table top in laminate and linoleum, the Still Café Table brings a light and simple expression to any professional or hospitality setting alongside its timeless and refined aesthetics. Here, Iskos-Berlin speaks on their ideas of the Still Café Table—an intuitive design available in three standard heights with a round or square table top, adding a simple touch of Scandinavian design to cafés, lobbies, co-working areas, workspaces and restaurants.

“Our idea for the Still Café Table was to create a design with an apparent function that would fit intuitively into any space without making much visual noise. With its elegant four-legged base across various heights, the design is stripped to its essentials, complemented by the angled edges of its table top”, tells Iskos-Berlin, a Copenhagen-based design duo that has made waves within furniture, industrial and graphic design with products being exhibited at numerous museums around the world, including MoMa and the Danish Design Museum.

On the unique characteristics of the design, Iskos-Berlin explains: “The Still Café Table is designed as a natural continuation of the Fiber Chair series as the die-cast aluminum four-legged base has the same form language as the table. Often, the table is an extension of the current architecture of a chair—in this case, the Still Café Table joins the continuity of the design through an existing expression.”

When asked how the Still Café Table is tied to the studio’s own design philosophy, the duo ends: “We’re trying to get deeper into the essence of creating well-designed objects that are easily recognizable without being superficially eccentric or visually noisy.”
