A good idea is good whether it's rooted in form or function. To me every project is unique, and therefore I try not to restrain myself by a dogma or a proven design approach. I have tried to approach my design challenges in a more structured way, but the result often comes out too rigid, and therefore unattractive. Good design must communicate on both a functional and emotional level.

It's not difficult to argue that the Scandinavian design tradition is very much 'no nonsense'. We are very user-driven and rarely add things or ornaments to objects that don't have a specific purpose and we try to stay clear in our communication.
