By using and shopping on our Website, you agree to accept the terms and conditions described below. As the terms and conditions may be updated from time to time (for example to reflect changes in technology, our business model, our system’s capabilities or relevant laws and regulatory requirements), we recommend that you check this page regularly to take notice of any changes we may have made in the terms and conditions.
International copyright and trademark laws protect all product designs, product names and content included on our Website. Muuto A/S grants you a limited licence to access and make personal use of our Website and not to download, except where specifically invited, nor to duplicate, sell or modify, any portion of our Website without express written authorisation from the Service Provider. These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of Denmark and any dispute related to our Website, its services or these terms and conditions shall be settled by the courts of Denmark.
The online store is open 24 hours a day. However, the store can occasionally be closed for maintenance. For your convenience, we endeavour to complete such work during the night. In order to shop at www.muuto.com you must be at least 18 years of age. If you are not yet 18 years old, an adult is required to place the order for you.
When an order is placed on www.muuto.com the binding sales agreement between you and Muuto A/S is reached when you receive an order confirmation e-mail in which the availability and estimated delivery time are confirmed. Unless otherwise agreed by Muuto A/S, Muuto A/S must receive payment prior to acceptance of an order. Muuto A/S reserves the rights to reject any order in its sole discretion.
In order to protect our customers and maintain the security of shopping online, we may run verification checks on the data you submit when you place an order. These checks may include address and payment verification and screening your offer to prevent fraud.
We accept the following payment methods:

Please not that we cannot accept any other payment methods than those specified above. If you try to pay by any other method, we will not be liable for your loss of payment or any other damages caused by your action.
To maintain your own security and prevent fraud, you will be asked to enter your Card Verification Value (CVV) when paying with your credit card. You can find the 3-digit number on the back of your card usually on the right hand side of your credit card number.
When your order and data have been verified and your ordered products leave our stock for shipping, the payment will be deducted from your account. Please note that your billing address must be entered exactly as it appears on your bank statement.
All prices on products, shipping charges and other services include value added tax (VAT). If your country is part of the European Union (EU), prices also include Danish VAT.
Orders to countries outside the EU may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. Muuto A/S ships your package according to Incoterm Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU), which means we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes on orders to countries outside the EU and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur any such charges they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. Please contact your local customs office for further information.
The shipping charge is added per order. Please go to “Shipping and Returns” for details concerning the charges for your specific country. We will always inform you of the total price, including all taxes, VAT and other costs such as fees and possible delivery costs, before you place your.
The prices displayed on the Website are those that apply at the time of purchase. These prices may be subject to change without notice, however changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted. While we fully endeavour to avoid information errors, please note that pricing errors, spelling errors and other errors or mistakes can occur from time to time. We will verify prices as part of our confirmation procedure. If the correct price is less than our stated price, you will be charged the lesser amount.
All displayed prices are quoted in the currency that refers to your country. If you want to change the country selection please use the country selector link at the top of the webpage. Your delivery address will decide which currency you will be charged in.
Please note that changing the country of delivery may have an influence on the price and shipping costs.

We utilise Security Socket Layer (SSL) technology, one of the most secure systems for ordering online that allows encryption of your information, such as your name and address, and critical personal information, such as credit card information. The SSL technology provides an authentication that assures your browser that your data is being sent to the correct secure computer server; an encryption that encodes all data, so only the secure server is able to read it; and a data integrity that checks that the transferred data has not been altered.
Currently we only ship to Denmark.
Orders will be delivered Monday to Friday to the shipping address submitted when you placed your order. Please note that we only ship to home or office addresses – not to P.O. boxes. All deliveries must be signed upon receipt. However, it does not have to be you who signs it. Someone from the same address (e.g. a family member, friend, receptionist etc.) or a neighbour can sign for the parcel.
If the courier cannot deliver the order then our courier will leave you a card which provides you with details for redelivery and also collection, if possible. The courier will typically keep a parcel for up to 7 days before returning it to the sender as undelivered. Note that our courier may also deliver to your neighbours where appropriate.
If your order consists of several items we reserve the right to split the delivery. This can happen if certain items are delayed or unavailable at the time of ordering. In the event of a split delivery, you will be notified by an advice note which is included in the first delivery. You will not be charged for any additional shipping costs.
Please note that your bear the risk for the products you have ordered when the delivery is complete. If the packaging appears to be damaged, please do not accept the shipment.
Without prejudice to your statutory rights and remedies, you have the responsibility of inspecting your products for any faults and, in the event giving us notice of any complaints. In the case of defective products or inconformity with your order, you will have the choice of returning the defective product and we will refund you the purchase price and all shipping costs when our Customer Care team has handled your return.
We will expedite your order as soon as possible and it will be delivered from Monday to Friday. All orders are fulfilled at our warehouse in Denmark within 1-2 business days and the exact delivery time depends on the country of delivery. An order that has been submitted on a Danish public holiday will be processed the next working day following the public holiday.
When you have a “My Account” at www.muuto.com, you can track your orders by visiting “My Account” and clicking “View my orders”. There you can view your past orders or view the status of your current order. If you want to know more, please click on My Account. If you don’t have a “My Account”, please contact our Customer Care team who will do their best to inform you about your order status.
If you are consumer (i.e. private individual and not purchasing products on behalf of a business), you may withdraw your order at any time within 14 days. The withdrawal period commences at receipt of the product and expires 14 days later. In case of split deliveries, the withdrawal period expires 14 days after receipt of the last product.
Before the expiry of the withdrawal period, you must inform our Customer Care team of withdrawal with a notice sent on paper or another durable medium to which we have access, e.g. by letter, telefax or by sending us an email. In addition, you must return or give back the product to us within a reasonable time from sending the notice, in any case no later than 14 days from the day on which we were informed about your decision to withdraw from purchase.
You can also exercise your right of withdrawal if, before the expiry of the 14-day period, you hand over the product to the postal services or another operator who has taken on the task of forwarding the product to us, even if you have not given prior notice to our Customer Care team.
You may also exercise your right of withdrawal by abstaining from receiving the product or by abstaining from collecting it at the parcel shop, etc.
If you use your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse you the purchased price minus shipping costs and the return costs.
Repayment will be made without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the product resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.
We want all of our customers to receive high quality products. If there is something wrong with the product you have received or if your delivery is not identical to your order (e.g. wrong product or if a product is missing), please contact our Customer Care team.
In case of defective products or inconformity with your order, you will have the choice of returning the defective product and we will refund you the purchased price and all shipping costs when our Customer Care team has handled your return. You may also choose to keep the product and ask for a price reduction. Please note that products that are damaged as a result of neglect are not considered to be faulty.
If you send an e-mail to Customer Care, please include as many details as possible including your order number as well as some pictures if there is something wrong with the product.
The claim needs to be made when you discover the defect. Any notice given within a period of two months after you discover the defect is deemed a timely notice, but in certain cases a longer period may apply under applicable law. Please contact our Customer Care team who will arrange for the product to be collected by our courier. If you wish to place another order, our Customer Service team will be happy to assist you.
For customers subject to Swedish law, you have the right to return the product within 36 months.
For customers subject to French law the following applies:
- The warranty against any hidden defects of the goods sold, which applies for two years following the discovery of the defect.
- The warranty of conformity of the Civil Code, which enables you to require that the product delivered be the same as the product ordered, and which is applied for five years from the date of delivery of the product.
- The warranty of conformity of the Consumer Code, which applies for two years from the delivery of the product.
Please note that any such claim requires that you have not used the products inappropriately and that the product is not defective due to your conduct.
Occasionally the wrong item may be sent out. If this has happened to you, we sincerely apologise. Please contact our Customer Care team who will be able to re-order the correct item for you and arrange for the incorrect product to be collected by our courier.
After we have received and processed your request, you will be issued with the appropriate refund. We aim to process a refund within 3 days of receiving your parcel or of receiving evidence of you having sent back the parcel. We will send you an e-mail to let you know we have received and processed it. After you have received the e-mail, please allow another 5-10 working days for the refund to be credited to you account. The amount of time this takes will depend on which bank or card issuer you have. Unfortunately this delay is outside of our control. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for making your purchase. In the event that we are unable to refund your credit card we will contact you to arrange an alternative means of refunding your order.
